Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in October:

  1. Having Mr Z go to and return back safely from yet another business trip to India. It was much shorter this time, so I wasn’t pulling my hair out for too long! ha!
  2. Winning the Ikea Salmon Challenge, and having mine and Neenu’s dish “Sensational Salmon” sold every weekday for a month in IKEA! The feeling of pride was immense, I tell you!
  3. Finally checking into a hospital and opening my file, where In sha Allah I will eventually be giving birth in the new year! It was like De Ja Vu, visiting the delivery rooms once again though, and not in the good kind of way!
  4. Waving goodbye to the second trimester of pregnancy and welcoming the third and final trimester! How fast this pregnancy has gone!
  5. Those unexpected hugs and kisses from the husband for simply being myself. Which reminds me, I should probably return the favour more often! 😛
  6. Purchasing some baby items at long last. I have been so excited to do this bit, and I can’t wait to use it all! I have also began checking off items from my New Born Essentials check list (Download it here for free!).
  7. Getting a taste of Dubai Winter. The soft winter breeze is brief but it’s back! Hooray!
  8. Announcing that I am part of the Pretty Paper Studio Design Team, and I am so excited to be sharing my crafts with you over the coming months. Be sure to be following PPS on social media so you don’t miss out!
  9. When Master Z talks about how he is going to take care of the new baby. *sobs with pride*
  10. Skype chats with my baby brother back in the UK. It’s still hard to believe he is a university student now!
  11. Enjoying a lazy family Saturday by the West pool after enjoying a delicious brunch at Palazzo Versace.
  12. For our good health and safety. Two of the easiest things to take for granted.

These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in October last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below!
