Alhumdulillah Series

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in January 2020…

Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in January:

  1. Surviving the jet lag after returning home from the UK. Boy, was it a challenge…but we did it! Phew!
  2. Celebrating Little Z turning 2 years old! Eeek so incredibly exciting…yet not so much looking forward to the terrible twos though…hehe! Here’s my annual birthday letter to him.
  3. Crafting with Master Z, whether it’s doodling away or making his Crazy Hat for school, I love crafting with my little man.
  4. Self-teaching myself the art of Brush Lettering via the Pretty Paper Studio Online Workshop.
  5. This little blog turning 5! I am feeling very thankful for the opportunities and friends it has given me…and I hope there is more to come! Here’s a little tribute to how far this blog has come, especially over the last year. Thanks for sticking by!
  6. Fluffy Pink Clouds. I can’t stop staring at the gorgeous sky, especially just after sunset during this winter.
  7. Being nominated by The Mother, Baby & Child Awards 2020 in the category of “Parenting & Lifestyle Influencer of the Year”. I would be delighted if you would vote for Mummy On My Mind here!
  8. Attending Master Z’s Parent Teacher meeting at school, and leaving content with the knowledge that he is doing well academically, but more importantly that he is a sweet boy.
  9. Hosting friends over for a dawat party at home.
  10. Master Z being so brave, whilst getting his 5 year old vaccine shots as well as a tooth filling.
  11. Exploring Emirates Bio Farm with the family and being able to harvest our own veg! Way more exciting than it sounds, promise!
  12. Starting to properly homeschool Master Z in Islamic Studies and teaching of the Quran. I bought the Beginner’s Bundle from Safar Publications – my full detailed review on IGTV can be found here.

These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in January last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
