Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in August:

  1. This month has been full of celebrations, starting off with my 26th Birthday!
  2. Receiving gifts from my parents and baby brother from the UK, including Cadbury Dairy Milk Hazelnut Chocolate bar and Sensations Thai Sweet Chilli crisps. There were also plenty of hand written greeting cards for the birthday and anniversary celebrations this month!
  3. Celebrating five years of being married to Mr Z. Alhumdulillah! That man completes me!
  4. Reuniting with friends after the long summer break!
  5. Seeing the excitement in Master Z’s face as we order new bits and bobs for him to prepare for him starting school next month!
  6. Little Z beginning to crawl! As happy as I am if course, I do wish I didn’t have to start baby-proofing the house so soon!
  7. Posting about this month’s Pretty Paper Studio project where I created a Magnetic Calendar for Master Z that we use each morning.
  8. Celebrating Eid al Adha with the family! There was good food, gifts, bowling, smiles, laughter, and lots more food!
  9. Mr Z shaving off Little Z’s head into bald perfection. I must admit, I was a little apprehensive at first, but he did such an amazing job!
  10. Seeing photos from my best friend’s bridal shower! Can’t believe she’s getting married in a month, but Im gutted I won’t be there to attend the special day.
  11. Celebrating my niece, Little A’s 3rd Birthday!

These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in August last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below!
