My Love Affair with Lush has just begun…

So I am quite late on the Lush Lovin’ Bandwagon and only discovered its true potential when late last year I was looking for a massage cream.

Being up and about with a baby attached to my hips meant my back ached and longed for some relief. I was often massaging the achy areas with various creams and lotions that I had on my dressing table. Then one day, I came across a Lush Haul video on youtube which in turn led me to a zillion other Lush Haul videos. I was addicted. Mesmerised. I had to get myself a Lush product and see what all the hype was about!

There was only one little Lush store on the high street, in the city I lived in back in England. I have of course walked past the colourful Lush stores before but to be honest the over powering smells weren’t so inviting. My first job was to locate Lush stores in Dubai, and thankfully there were about four in the nearby(ish) vicinity.

My first purchase (after plenty of sniffing and nose-wiping) was the Jasmine “Tender is the Night” massage bar. It lasted me about a month and I was in love. Jasmine became my scent and I found it intertwined in all my articles of clothing and the soft scent in every corner of my room ( or maybe that was just in my head…anyway…) I became a Lush convert and looked forward for my next purchase.

The next one was the Twilight Lush Bath bomb. This too was a magical experience. It was the first time that my bath water had glittered in such a glorious way.

After this, I decided to purchase the Lush Pot. What a lush little pot it was indeed! This hand and body cream crept into my night time routine as if it had been there all along. The scent was capable of being devoured and the coolness of the cream was refreshing. My only qualm with it was the stickiness. I normally like to apply creams that are completely absorbed into the skin and don’t leave any texture behind. That is why I would apply the Lust Pot cream at night; because it didn’t matter if I was a little sticky when I was fast asleep.

Each time I go into the Lush store, I find something intriguing or beautiful smelling. I believe that this is just the start of my  (ever-lasting) Lush Love Affair.

The next items I plan to hunt down are a Body Exfoliator and a good old foot cream!

Have you shopped at Lush? (Ofcourse you have!) Which products would you recommend? Which are your favourite?

Ooh I really want to try Tender is the Night!
My faves from Lush are the Melting Marshmallow Moment bath melt & The Comforter bubble bar – they make the loveliest pink bath! 😀
