Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in January:

1. Looking back at memories from last month’s trip to India and missing it very much. Never thought I would be saying that!
2. Having the nightmarish phase of a jetlagged Master Z finally pass and have him settle back into routine. I solemnly vow never to stray from THE ROUTINE again. Ever.
3. Getting to know other wonderful mums at Mummy Toddler Play Dates!
4. Watching Master Z take on so many new activities in his stride and watch his confidence grow and blossom.
5. Enjoying a great Family day out at Legoland Water Park.
6. Staying in touch with the baby brother, Mr A, and cousins back home in UK and cheering them on for their success. Proud Big Sister moment!
7. Becoming the Brand Ambassador for Music Monkeys and enjoying their classes at KidsHQ.
8. Having a bench to sit on whilst waiting for almost 3 hours to see Shahrukh Khan show up at Arabian Centre. I don’t think I would have survived that long without that bench! How do people do it at music festivals etc?!
9. Celebrating my 2nd Blogiversary! Whoop Whoop!
10. Finally feeling like I am recovering from a deathly cold…slowly but surely.
11. Catching a glimpse of the illusive Dubai winter rain…ok more like drizzle. At least it was something!
