Things I said Alhumdulillah for in November…

Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulilah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in November:

  1. When Little Z finally decides to smile for a photograph. Didn’t last long, but at least I managed to capture it.
  2. Lunch at a friend’s home where my kids were obsessed with their bird pet. The birdie probably let out a big sigh of relief after we left! ha!
  3. This month I have created two more instastory filters. I am enjoying the mini creative projects where I get to doodle or design a filter that I would want to use myself. Have you checked them out yet? Head to my instagram profile to try them out for yourself.
  4. Being part of Stuck On You UAE Mums program. The wide smiles on my faces as my boys received their personalised Bento Boxes was priceless and I absolutely love the quality. Use code ZEYNA10 for a 10% discount at checkout! 🙂
  5. Getting new pillows, pillow cases and even a duvet set. Best feeling ever. Also, I got new silk pillow cases and patiently now waiting to turn into Rapunzel having heard so many rave reviews about their benefits for your hair and skin.
  6. Watching the amazing videos edited by Samina from @ayeina for the “Imagine Jannah: Art series” featuring Master Z and I create art in the Jannah Journal. Plenty more to come, so make sure you check it out here!
  7. Celebrating 12 years of Mr Z and I being together. He surprised us (yes, the kids came too of course!) with a fancy dinner at Taj hotel, and we had the loveliest evening, basking in the love and lights of Dubai.
  8. Snacking on decadent M&S double chocolate muffins. Yum!
  9. Watching Master Z begin to read and write Arabic letters and words. It’s truly amazing just how far these kids have come in just one term, especially given the obstacles being thrown their way this year.
  10. Little Z quietly playing on his own as I get the cooking and house chores done. It means I can get tons done, and I will treasure that very much for however long (or short) this phase will last.

These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in November last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below.
