Saturday Family Brunch at Mazina, Address Dubai Marina – Review…

We couldn’t have visited a more family friendly venue for Little Z’s first brunch than Mazina Restaurant at Dubai Address Marina, who very kindly invited us down to check out what they have on offer.

This weekly Saturday brunch with a Pirates and Mermaids theme encourages kids to dress up as such when attending the restaurant as there are prizes for the best dressed. The staff, also dressed up as Pirates and Mermaids, showed us in as we entered and gave us a quick tour of the buffet stations, after which I was shown to the Kids Corner.

It was hardly a corner, rather an entire space dedicated to the entertainment of children. The space included a buffet station, at a low level so kids could pick their own food, along with plenty of colourful kid friendly plates and cutlery. The food was very well decorated, the star shaped sandwiches are a hit, no doubt! There is also a face painting session, the famous Magic Phil doing what he does best, and of course a Bouncy Castle. All this so you can actually enjoy your own meal and not worry about your children’s entertainment.

For us parents, the choice of food is endless. This is not an exaggeration. The brunch offers Indian, Asian, Arabic and Western cuisine. From steamed wontons to Yorkshire puddings, they have it all. There is a bread table, a cheese section and plenty of seafood. I of course devoured the sushi first, after a 9 month hiatus, after which I moved on to the roasts and dim sums, whilst my husband enjoyed the Indian curries and Arabic grill. The Tandoori Paneer is a must try!

Master Z couldn’t eat fast enough, as I had promised he could go to the Kids Zone after finishing his meal. As soon as he was done, he ran over to watch Magic Phil’s show followed by having a Spider man face painting done and burning off energy on the bouncy castle. Needless to say, he slept very well that day!
