Mother’s Day Lunch at Al Nafoorah…

mummyonymymind al nafoorah

Last Thursday, I was kindly invited for a Mother’s Day lunch at Al Nafoorah, a Lebanese restaurant located on the Boulevard Level of Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The invitation was given to try out Al Nafoorah’s Mother’s Day Meal that is available from the 21st March through till the 27th March. It was a lovely way of not only trying out the Lebanese cuisine, which I enjoy very much, but also to meet and have a chat with other mums about our interests.

I was rather excited since it was my first time visiting the iconic Jumeirah Emirates Towers and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Al Nafoorah was very much at the front of the Boulevard Level, so hard not to miss and I adored their culture inspired paintings. Since I was one of the first ones to arrive, I got a chance to take a photo of the beautiful set up, as pictured below. (How gorgeous is that painting in the background?)

I was ravenous by the time I sat down so once all the other mums had arrived, I was ready to dig in! The four course meal began with the cold mezzeh which arrived including Hummus, Mutable, Tabouleh, Fattoush, Shanklish, Rocka salad and Baba Ganoush. The Hummus and Fattoush (pictured below) were my favourites.

After more chit chat with the ladies about topics ranging from motherhood to recommended Indian restaurants, we enjoyed the Hot Mezzeh. This included the following: Meat Sambousek, Cheese Rukak, Fried Kebbeh, Spinach Sattayer and Lahme bel ajen. The Cheese Rukak were insanely delicious and I could have had about ten of those.

Unfortunately I could not stay for too long after that due to other commiments, though I had very much enjoyed the company of the other ladies. However I will let you know what I missed out on…

The Mains include Mix grill (shish taouk, kebab), Frikki bel Lahem, Vegetable Maghmor and white rice. Dessert includes Um Ali, Assorted Arabic sweet or the Fruit platter. Doesn’t that just make your mouth water?

I will leave you with some other photographs provided by Al Nafoorah of the beautiful surrounding as well as information on how you can enjoy this meal either as a treat for your mother, or for yourself!

“Al Nafoorah’s special Mother’s Day menu will be available today (UAE Mother’s Day) for lunch and dinner. Priced at AED 120 per person (excluding beverages), mom’s meal is on the house when dining with three or more guests. The menu will also be available for the remainder of the week through to March 27th for both lunch and dinner.
