Dubai Parks & Resorts – 3 Parks in 1 Day!

Legoland Dubai, Bollywood Park and Motion Gate Dubai … all 3 parks in ONE day. Mission Impossible? Nope, Mission Accomplished, my friend! This weekend we headed to Dubai Parks and Resorts for a day packed with family fun. If you are in the UAE, you will know that they had an amazing offer of experiencing all three parks for the price of one. We decided to take advantage of the great price and what a day it turned out to be! I have filmed a Youtube Video to show snippets of the entire day which you can find at the end of this post!

Legoland Dubai

Legoland was our first stop, because since our last visit to both Legoland Dubai and Legoland Water Park, Master Z has been a boy obsessed! In fact, he went on and on about it so much that even Baby A (my neice) was singing along to the theme tune “Everything is Awesome” before she visited the park. The tickets we had only covered Legoland Dubai, not the water park, which was fine since the weather was rather chilly and not great for dipping in and out of water. I have already written my thoughts on both parks so I won’t bore you with the details again. You can read about Legoland Dubai here, and Legoland Water Park here.

We did however manage to explore a lot more of the Legoland Dubai park this time round including braving The Dragon roller coaster in the Kingdoms section, which was an exhilarating experience to say the least. Master Z also loved the Submarine Adventure where we got to see real sharks and a beautiful little aquarium whilst hunting for the Lost City of Atlantis!

Lunch at Bol Gappa

After a fun filled morning at Legoland Dubai, it was time for a quick bite before heading to Bollywood Park. We decided to head into Bol Gappa, located just outside Bollywood Park, and I am so happy we did! It is the perfect way to get you in the Filmy spirit because their decor as well as dishes are all Bollywood themed! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, especially for the amount of detail on the presentation of the dishes which tasted delicious. I also want to recreate their genius Bollywood Dialogues feature wall in my own home!

Bollywood Park

If you are a fan of Bollywood, this place is heavenly! Being the filmy girl that I am, growing up with the soundtracks of Kaho Na Pyaar Hai and Kal Ho Na Ho, this park had me fan-girling! There are a range of great shows and activities in the park. The Dabang stunt show was a hit with Master Z (with some dance numbers too of course, since it is Bollywood after all!). The Rajmal Theatre also put on a great dance show featuring Salman Khan and Hrithink Roshan lookalikes. The highlight for me though was the Krrish Hero’s Flight ride. I don’t want to give too much away, but you absolutely MUST go on it! It will blow your mind!

Our visit to Bollywood Park happened to be bang in the middle of Master Z’s nap time. However, he soldiered on. We did take a tea break inside the Victoria Station Cafe for some Karak Chai, so that kept us all going.

Dinner at Galito’s

Again, it was the first time we tried out Galito’s, which serves flame grilled chicken. We licked off the plates after all the walking of the day, and then ate some more to fuel up for the next and last park. The sweet potato fries were amazing and I loved the grilled corn along with the rest of the roasted vegetables for sides.

Motion Gate Dubai

Man Down. I repeat, Man Down! As much as we tried to keep going, we lost Master Z half way through this park. By lost, I mean he fell asleep. He managed to watch the Step Up Show as soon as we entered the park, which was around 20 minutes long and a spectacular show that should not be missed! (They are scheduled throughout the day so make sure to check the timings before you visit.) We then took a quick walk through the Dream Works section that featured Shrek and Kung Fu Panda. The attention to detail is amazing in there! It was a shame that Master Z is not really yet into the cartoon/movie characters featured in the park, which is why he wasn’t too amazed. I was possibly more excited than him because Shrek was so totally in my childhood! Master Z is still far too obsessed with diggers, Lego and more interested in Marvel Characters such as Batman and Superman. I think it would be a great place to visit once I introduce him to the Motion Gate characters! *Que movie marathon! Yay!*

After we lost Master Z to sleep, myself along with my sister and brother in law, headed to the Columbia Pictures section to go on a few rides. I didn’t find them as great as the ones I sat on in the previous parks, but this may have been due to sheer tiredness! We didn’t get a chance to visit Lionsgate section at all, so I think another trip to Motion Gate theme park will be needed to provide a better informed opinion of it!

My Dubai Parks & Resorts Experience

Over all, we had such a great time. At one point through Bollywood Park, we were approached by a member of staff who was taking a quality survey from visitors and asked us what improvements we would like to suggest. I couldn’t think of anything at all, and even now as I think about it, I can’t really think of anything. I must say, we were blessed with overcast weather, which made it much easier to walk outdoors the entire day, so if you are planning to pay the parks a visit, do it now before summer hits! I think I would be telling a different story and given up half way if the sun was bearing down on us!

The park themselves had something for everyone, though there are age restrictions which meant Baby A couldn’t go on many rides at all, but still enjoyed experiencing the parks in her own way. The restaurant outlets cater to all budgets, and there’s even a McDonald’s in Riverland! I would say there is no need to book yourself in for the Q Fast service, which allows you to enter rides faster as well as other services, because there were hardly any ques at all. The service we received was impeccable in all three parks, as every staff member was happy to help in any they can. I honestly have no complaints, and everything made for a very memorable family day out!

I have created a little video to show you a snapshot of our day at Dubai Parks & Resorts. Enjoy and don’t forget to subscribe to my Youtube Channel!

wow what a huge day out! I didn’t think all 3 could be done in one hit but you proved me wrong!! Do you think you covered substantially all the rides in that time?

haha, I’m not sure how I survived the day, but I did! Definitely did not cover ALL the rides, especially since many had height restrictions, but we did cover the entire Bollywood Park, and visited the major rides in both the other ones that were of interest.
