Cocktail Kitchen Business Lunch: Review…

Last week I was kindly invited by Cocktail Kitchen to try out their business lunch menu. Located in Jumeirah Lake Towers and only having opened its doors 2 months ago, I fell instantly in love with the interior decor of the restaurant as soon as I walked in. The combination of wood and glass made for a very sophisticated space and my excitement to try out their dishes doubled!

Before I tell you more about our experience, let me share with a little bit about Cocktail Kitchen itself:

Cocktail Kitchen brings together great food and great drinks. It really is that simple. Every detail has been a decision, tussled over by people who not only care, but come armed with years of knowledge, expertise, and unwavering love for their trade. We aim to bring to Dubai a breath of normality on how F&B should operate, a guest-centred approach that embraces the real sense of hospitality. We want to demonstrate that casual affordability can go hand in hand with quality and competence.

True hospitality is at the heart of Cocktail Kitchen. Guests will experience a welcome that they’d expect from family, from friends, from home. Coupled with this fellowship approach, Cocktail Kitchen creates an opportunity to impart knowledge and mentor guests in an inclusive environment. Simultaneously, Cocktail Kitchen will engage the Dubai hospitality and bar community as a whole – an ever-growing family rooted in training, learning and bettering the industry here in Dubai.

We chose to be seated in a well lit arcade-like area on the far left side of the restaurant. It was light and airy, and perfect for our toddler as he wasn’t the biggest fan of dimly lit spaces.

I was absolutely ravenous by this point, and we were very much ready to order by the time the waiter came over our table. Presenting us with a blackboard with the dishes of the day from the Business Lunch menu made it so simple to choose what we wanted to eat, as I am known to take my sweet time when it comes to ordering food.

I went for the Asparagus Soup followed by the Seafood Rainbow Salad, ending with a bowl of Fruits topped with Mango Sorbet. My husband went for the Cream of Mushroom Soup followed by the Lasagna, and lastly the Bread Pudding for dessert.

Whilst we waited for our starters to arrive, the cheery waiter brought along a bowl of veggie chips, that were very much gobbled up by Baby Z.

The soups were creamy and every bit as delicious as I was expecting. The crunchy bread was Baby Z’s favourite, as he dipped them in both soups and munched away.

Since Cocktail Kitchen was very much about the drinks as well as the food, we were kindly offered to try out two of their mocktails. Pictured below are the two that we went for, and I must say they are probably two of best mocktails we have tasted. I can not even begin to describe the tastes, so you simply must try them out yourselves to experience these gastronomical delights. Apart from tasting delicious, they also looked the part!

Our mains arrived and again, we were not at all dissapointed. It was apparent that a lot of care and attention had gone into the making of both dishes.

The Seafood Rainbow Salad was colourful indeed, in both sight as well as taste. I especially loved the citrus bursts in between bites, and the over all freshness. As for the lasagna, though the portion was small, it was very much filling and rich with ingredients. Both meals were thoroughly enjoyed, but I did remind myself to leave space for dessert!

Since mango sorbets are my absolute favourite, my dessert made me very happy indeed. Mr Z was equally as impressed with his, a sweet chewy delight.

Overall, we had a lovely time and left with our tummies bulging. I am still rather shocked that the entire three course meal is being offered at such a great price of only AED 59! Also, just to let you know, it runs from SundayThursday between 12pm – 4pm, and the menu changes daily!

If you want to steer clear of the alcohol, like me, Cocktail Kitchen offers 8 unique selections of mocktails, that are simply a must-try.
