Breakfast at Tom & Serg- Review…

I am not really sure why I have not visited Tom & Serg till only this week. Having already heard great things about it, I was keen to experience it for myself. You too may already know about the delicious food and relaxed ambiance that Tom & Serg offer, however what you may not know is that they now have a brand new Kids Corner. This makes it the perfect spot for mums like me to nip down for a cup of tea whilst ensuring the little ones are well entertained, rather than spilling tea and forks everywhere! *No Guarantee that won’t still happen though, just less likely.*

Nestled in the heart of Al Quoz, the bright and airy cafe is HUGE. Spanning over two floors filled with industrial decor and friendly staff, this space is buzzing with creativity. It was such a pleasant sight to walk in and see the relaxed ambiance, as ideas were being shared over laptop screens and coffee being sipped in between fruitful discussions. The perfect work space, and may I add also the perfect backdrops for chic blogger photos, thanks to the edgy interior. (I may be coming back again just to take a few OOTD photos here!)

Once I eventually got over how gorgeous and welcoming the cafe was, I was escorted upstairs and shown the Kids Corner at the end of the cafe, immediately providing a kind of private space in which the little ones can go wild. The Kids Corner, though tiny in comparison to the entire cafe, is colourful and well equipped to keep children entertained. Baby Z ran excitedly towards it and did not waste any time grabbing the animal toys, naming each as he picked them up. As well as animals including dinosaurs, there is a huge collection of books and Lego too, amongst other nik-naks to play with. The mini tables and chairs are a great spot for colouring in activities, whilst the adjacent wall served as the perfect “road” for Baby Z to drive the toy cars on. The floor is well protected by colourful mats and there is a chalk wall too for the little artists to indulge themselves with whilst Mummy sips her tea peacefully.

As for our breakfast, I enjoyed the Wild Goji Berry Instant Bircher whilst Mr Z was happily cutting into his Scrambled Free Range Eggs on Toast with Goat Cheese and Mushroom. My breakfast was very refreshing and sweet, and I did steal a bite of my husband’s dish too, which I can tell you that the goat’s cheese was divine and is very much recommended.

I love that the seats accompanying the Kids Corner are huge black leather sofas that parents can unwind and relax into, making it the perfect spot for your next play date. There is also easy access to the toilets just behind the feature wall of the Kids Corner, so pretty much everything is within reach. Overall, it’s a win win for both parents and toddlers too.
