Alhumdulillah means “All Praise is due to God” and are the words uttered by a Muslim when he/she is expressing gratitude to Allah. I find myself saying this numerous times a day and this post is a collection of moments when I have said Alhumdulillah during the past month.

Things I said Alhumdulillah for in November:

  1. Meeting the absolute LEGEND that is Asha Bhosle. It’s safe to say, I was pretty star struck!
  2. Capturing my Third Trimester with a Family Photoshoot at Studio Dubai. This photo is my absolute favourite!
  3. A doting husband, who knows just how to perk up my mood when I most need it. Especially with all the extra pregnancy hormones flying around in my head!
  4. Spectacular Dubai Sunsets.
  5. For hearing that everything is going smoothly during my pregnancy ultrasound scans. I know what a HUGE blessing this is. (Even if the nurse took 4 vials of my blood for routine tests straight after.)
  6. Indian Snacks & Desserts. Pani Puri, Khaman, Khaandvi, Bhel Puri, Rasgulla, Gulab Jamun. All of these hold a very special place in my heart, and oh how I wish I could eat these all day every day.
  7. The drop in Dubai temperature and cool breeze, so much so that the jumpers are out in the early mornings! HOORAY!
  8. Sharing my debut blog post as part of the Pretty Paper Studio Design Team! Catch the full photo tutorial here.
  9. Feeling the baby kick CONSTANTLY. I remember feeling so panicked and worried during my first pregnancy’s third trimester, counting the kicks and movements all day. This time round I feel like the baby simply doesn’t stop moving! Not great when I am trying to get some sleep, but thankful nonetheless.
  10. Grabbing some great deals during DSF (Dubai Shopping Festival). Yes, totally guilty. Hehe.
  11. Being “together” with my husband for 9 years this month. Aaah that’s almost a decade! Though we have only been married for less than half of that long, I can’t quite believe that I have been with this precious soul for NINE WHOLE YEARS. May Allah bless us with many many more In sha Allah. How long have you been with YOUR other half?

These are just a few of the many times I uttered the words Alhumdulillah this month. Check out what I was thankful for last month here. Also, here’s a list of what I was thankful for in November last year! What are you thankful for? Feel free to share your moments in the comments section below!
