Expat Life / Must Visit Places Reviews

A Day Out in Sharjah..

Last Saturday, we took a short tour of Sharjah as one of my sister’s friend had come to visit from England. I took a few photos, which I thought I would share with you all.

We set out in the afternoon and first went to Qanat al- Qasba (where I forgot to take photos of course because I was far too busy drinking water every few minutes due to the scorching heat!). We then headed off to Al Majaz Waterfront, a beautiful lush area, with restaurants and spectacular dancing water fountain.

After that we cruised to Sharjah Heritage Area which I actually haven’t seen yet myself. However, it was sadly closed (as said to us sternly by a Local) and so we decided to end the evening with a lovely dinner in Pizza Hut facing the Ajman water front.

Baby Z’s Outfit of the Day was inspired by the fact that Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, gave birth to a Royal Baby on that day!

Did you enjoy the shots I took of Sharjah? Which was the last city you visited with a guest from abroad? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Nice post. It’s funny how visits from family and friends get us out the door to explore our temporary homes.

Having visitors definitely is great for making you get out and do the ‘tourist thing’, which is always good to do once in a while to remind yourself how amazing the place you live is!!
